Historical, centrally located urban setting near Old Town Pasadena, Rose Bowl, Brookside Park, Kid’s Space, Norton Simon Museum, the Gamble House, Huntington Hospital, 210 and 134 Freeways, and just a 20 minute drive to downtown Los Angeles, the iconic Hollywood Blvd or the Dodger Stadium.

Located near the start of the world famous Rose Bowl Parade. Great walking location - Gentle 1 mile walk to Old Town with shopping and restaurants, half mile to Brookside Park with public swimming pools, 1 mile to the beautiful 18 hole Brookside Golf Club open to the public or 1 mile to the famous Rose Bowl. Home is in a private, gated compound surrounded by block walls, mature hedges, trees and landscape. Secure onsite parking for 2 vehicles. Street parking is available for visitors, but overnight street parking is by paid permit only. Covered front porch with patio furniture. Stocked kitchen including filtered water at sink, Miele dishwasher, Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer, Speed Queen washer/dryer, Wolf range, cutlery, plates, bowls, pots/pans and small appliances. Living room includes a gorgeous, vintage baby grand piano. Home has three Smart TVs and so much more.
*Note - Due to frequent fire burning bans in our area, the fireplace is not available for use and is not listed as an amenity.
Home has 2 large bedrooms on first floor - one King and one Queen size bed. Third room on 1st floor is set up as an office with built-in desk, office chair and printer. Additional bedroom is on second floor with Queen size bed and mini suite with additional seating including a down-filled couch, overstuffed chair, glass sitting table and a separate bathroom with a deep claw-foot tub / shower. All beds are made with 100% organic cotton sheets.
*Note-stairs to second floor are narrow and steep, consistent with the time period home was built.
There are 2 bathrooms on the first floor - one with a deep, claw foot tub, separate walk-in shower and heated towel rack. The 2nd bathroom is a half bath with no shower/tub. The 3rd bathroom is on the second floor with a deep, claw foot tub/shower combined.
The home has both a basement and an attic which houses some of the home’s mechanical systems. For safety reasons, these areas are unavailable and locked.
Landscaping services are on site once a week. Housekeeping services provided every 2 weeks - includes dusting, vacuuming, polishing wood floors, bathrooms. Additional housekeeping can be provided if needed, though may require an additional fee.
Security/Safety: Home is fully gated. Smoke/carbon monoxide sensors/alarms installed throughout house. First aid kit in main bathroom on first floor. Fire Extinguisher and fire blanket in kitchen. Outside lights come on automatically at dusk. Two exterior security cameras.
*Security camera locations: All security cameras are outside and up high, in clear view and have motion sensor lights that come on at night when detecting motion. First camera is facing down the driveway and captures the main entry gate. Second camera is at the back of the house facing the stairs and back porch.
Children: Though our home is not “child friendly”, we have hosted multiple families with children without issue. Safety concerns are 2 exterior fountains with deep pools of water, the house is designed with a significant number of windows, glass doors, built in glass cabinets with glassware and steep stairs to the second floor.
Accessibility: External access to the home requires climbing 4 gently sloping stairs at the front of the home or 6 at the back of the home (see photos). Stairs to the second floor suite are steep, consistent with the time period the home was built.
Pets: This is not a pet friendly home. See note below regarding animals.
**Detached back house above garage on property may be occupied by owners as we are there part-time. The driveway and yard are shared with owners. There is also a dog on property when we are in the back house. The dog is always under our supervision. She is people friendly but does not do well with other animals. We are quiet and respect your privacy, but available if you need us. Garage is not available.
