This house was originally built in the early 1900's and has been fabulously updated over the years while keeping that old world charm. You will love the clawfoot tub and the massive wrap around porch with the swinging bed! This house can hold your entire crew and then some!
Our guests have access to the clubhouse and all of the 980 acres of grounds attached to the clubhouse. This includes a private lake filled with wild trout, a swimming raft, dock, a two person paddle boat, a canoe, 23 miles of hiking and biking trails, and outdoor fire pits. We have super fast Fiber rich wi-fi powered by Lakeland Communications!
From an early morning stroll around our private lake, a sip of water from our natural spring, or a drive through the miles of private trails with your rented electric ranger, our guests will find an endless amount of options for fun and relaxation. Our guests are welcomed to borrow one of our canoes or kayaks and catch some rays. If you would like to venture out and rent a pontoon for a day on the St. Croix River, we can help with that too. Whatever you are looking for we have you covered!

We're only 3 miles from downtown St. Croix Falls and 4 miles from downtown Taylor's Falls. South Lions Park is located along the scenic St. Croix River. It features a boat landing, parking lot, canoe access, fishing opportunity, pavilions, picnic tables, grill posts, restrooms. We're about 10 miles from both Wild Mountain and Trollhaugen. Stay here and immerse yourself into the land, history, and offerings.
Our property is rustic charm which also means that our driveway is a hard packed dirt road. It does allow for easy access for foot traffic, wheelchair/stroller, biking, snowshoeing, etc!
The TV is connected to Fiber rich wi-fi powered by Lakeland Communications and has all of your normal TV apps like Netflix and Amazon. Just plug in your username and password into these apps and use like at home:! Please remember to log out when you leave. If you are looking for regular TV use the YouTube TV app......it is set up and logged in!
The Hansen and Johnson families purchased the property in 2018 for their passion for being outdoors. It has turned into a true "labor of love" for the families. Since the purchase back in 2018 they have renovated the barn, family cabin, clubhouse and created truly memorable new events for the community in "The 4th at Big Rock" and "Miracle at Big Rock". The families moddow of "Good old fashioned family fun" rings true anytime you visit the property. The continued passion to bring people together is the vision that will keep Big Rock Creek thriving into the future!
A massive property to explore, 980 acres! We also have a lot of fun things to do on site and off site. Rent a pontoon on the St. Croix river, rent our Polaris Ranger EV and go for a ride on our 23 miles of trails, use our paddle boards or paddle boats on the lake or just go for a hike!
