The area is known for its cross country and snowshoe trails, all maintained by the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation. The White Mountain National Forest provides hundreds of trails for the novice to the expert. The Saco River is less than a half mile away, offering many swimming holes and some of the best fly fishing on the East Coast. For kids and young adults, Attitash Mountain Resort provides plenty of entertainment for all age groups. Story Land and their new Living Shores Aquarium have been entertaining families with small children for over 65 years. Several golf courses, family-friendly restaurants, and "farm to table" dining opportunities are located in Jackson.
