An ideal location within easy walking distance of world-class tasting rooms, excellent restaurants, and a nature trail dedicated to biking and walking; this home provides an extraordinary Sonoma County experience! In our spacious, artistically appointed home; you'll be a short scenic drive from the banks of the Russian River, ancient redwood groves, the wild ocean coast, and a number of charming towns. Whether you intend to spend most of your time gathering at home with family and friends, or out exploring the area; our home spacious home is optimally suited for both.
Our "great room" includes our fully equipped modern kitchen (including brand new wall oven/microwave unit), the dining space, and a comfy sitting room with gas fireplace. Our expansive living room has two adjustable chaise lounges, a wall mounted video screen, and a modern sofa bed couch. The four spacious bedrooms provide your group with plentiful options for private, well designed and elegantly equipped sleeping quarters (one king, one queen, one double, and one bunk bed all with high quality new mattresses and bedding).
One of our special "niches" is how well stagged our home is for families traveling with children. Our children's room is set up with a comfy bunk bed, a doll house, a play kitchen, and a closet full of toys, games, art supplies and books for children of all ages. Outdoors there's a high quality sand box, a swing, a hammock.
For the adults, our outside area includes a front semi-shaded deck with 8 chairs; and our totally private two tiered back yard and deck with garden beds, hot tub, large barbecue, and two dining tables. Our two favourite neighbourhood restaurants are The Willow Wood Market Cafe, and the Underwood Bar and Grill. Our two wine tasting rooms within easy walking distance are the Bowman Cellars and Paul Mathews Vineyards. There are many more world-class wine tasting venues and great restaurants within a very short driving distance.
For children and adults there is so much beautiful nature to explore either by visiting our town and county parks or heading out for day trips to the Russian River, Armstrong Woods, or the Pacific Coast beaches. We recommend Howarth Park and Salmon Creek Beach.
All that said, I must add that even though we accommodate fairly large groups, we are not a "party house". We do live in a quiet neighbourhood and must respect our neighbours need for it to remain so. Therefore we do ask for quiet hours, especially outdoors, between 10pm-10am.
